Supervising Pharmacist

The supervising pharmacist is responsible for the professional operation of the pharmacy: dispensing, counseling, compliance, controlled-substance records and the supervision of the pharmacy staff. You set the tone at the counter and are the pharmacist patients get to know by name.

What you'll do

Serve as the pharmacist of record with the New York State Board of Pharmacy.
Fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients and answer medication questions.
Keep the pharmacy compliant: controlled-substance records, inventory counts, required logs and inspections.
Supervise staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, including scheduling and training.
Run immunization clinics and pharmacist-led services.
Work with the owner on purchasing, insurance contracts and store policy.

What we're looking for

New York State pharmacist license in good standing.
Immunization certification (or willing to obtain).
At least two years of community pharmacy experience; supervising experience preferred.
Familiarity with pharmacy management software (we use BestRx).
Spanish is a plus in this neighborhood.
