Pharmacy Technician

Technicians keep the pharmacy moving: entering prescriptions, counting and labeling, running insurance claims, answering the phone and helping customers at the counter. Everything a technician prepares is checked by a pharmacist.
What you'll do
- Enter prescriptions and patient information accurately.
- Count, label and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
- Process insurance claims and work rejections.
- Answer phones, take refill requests and help customers at the pickup counter.
- Receive and shelve orders, and keep inventory counts current.
What we're looking for
- New York State pharmacy technician registration, or eligible to register.
- Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
- Comfortable with computers and careful with details.
- Friendly on the phone and at the counter; Spanish is a plus.
